'Racism' is part and parcel of the American DNA

I think tearing down things gives some instantaneous and quick satisfaction, like they are taking a higher moral ground or something like that. The truth is 'tearing down' is a substitute for not owning to the fact that 'racism' is part and parcel of the American DNA and rearranging one's prejudices is not an answer.

Trump as racist and xenophobic as he is did not create 'Racism', he exasperated it, but you can't exacerbate what is not there.

The story of Charlottesville is the story of America renewed purge in supporting fascism. Some of us noticed and took umbrage to that when the US political establishment supported the neo-fascist movement in Ukraine and if memory serves me correctly that was during yet another US President, Barack Obama. Mr. Obama irresponsible and short sighted policies in fact empowered and encouraged the alt-right agenda and philosophy.

I am not transferring blames of course, Obama was a ghost of Christmas past and Trump is our new nightmare reality, I am just saying that most of those who are up in arms about American's fascist attitude in Charlottesville were snoozing when their political establishment under management of their Prodigal 'liberal' Son supported it in far away land of Ukraine.

What I am getting at is that we cannot support the power brokers of white supremacy in Ukraine or elsewhere internationally and then bend out of shape when there is a lack of mobilization in opposing the crude and overt white supremacists in Charlottesville.

What I am saying is that we can't have likes of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair, David Cameron, etc., etc. support the crude superiority of Western civilization under cloak of Liberalism and Left and get pissed off when it rises in streets of America.

Foreign Policy is almost always Domestic and the inconvenient truth is that the right-wing policies have been enacted into law by both Democrats and Republicans at every level of government as far as memory serves.

Let us face it, as a nation we are as good as our institutions and what we saw in Charlottesville, VA stems from this invisible white supremacist ideology which has been inculcated into our cultural and educational institutions.

The US will NEVER have Universal Health Care

Susan Nevens  | 26 March 2017

I am thinking that the US will NEVER have Universal Health Care for the same exact reason that US will never stop initiating, perpetuating, encouraging and engaging in conflicts around the globe to maintain her War Industry.

Health care (Pharmaceutical Companies, Insurance Companies, FDA cabal, etc.) just like Military Industrial Complex is a multi billion dollar Industry and Corporations involved are integral part of American Economy and in fact are Bread and Butter of US Economy.

The United States is an empire, ruled by corporations. However, many people refuse to accept it due to "seemingly" democratic setup of United States alas democracy and free (unregulated) market are mutually exclusive.

The US President – who is nothing more than a puppet in hands of corporations, of which Obama is the best example – has great power over both economical and military policies of state, of former through budget proposals and power of veto, and of latter through his/her capacity as a Commander in Chief.

In United States, there are two actors – state and the corporations, both profiting from current situation. Hence it is inconceivable for the Capitalist economy to cut the profit margin of one of its most profitable Industries by making it Universal.

Moreover the Health Care Industry is not in business of 'caring' for your health, they are in business of 'Managing the Care' hence the reference "Managed Care'. Managed Care is in reality "Managed Profit' where the bottom-line requires steady supply of 'sick' people as well as manufactured diseases making FDA, CDC, Pharmaceutical Companies, Insurance Companies, etc., etc. work together in making maximum profit necessary. Just as manufactured enemies are necessary to wage wars which in return makes the wheels of the so called "Defense Industry' and all the numerous related Corporation churning.

When one understand that the mission of this Republic is first and foremost serving interests of US capitalism and secondly maintenance and expansion of global capitalism in ways that are beneficial for US-based corporations, then it is easy to understand the notion of 'Corporate Protectionism' which has given birth to numerous 'regime changes', coups d'etat and initiated conflicts and wars.

During the much of the 20th century the infamous United Fruit Company defined the modern multinational corporation at its most effective. At home, it cultivated clubby ties with those in power & in abroad, it coddled dictators while using a mix of paternalism and violence to control its workers. As for repressive regimes, they were United Fruit’s best friends, with coups d’état among its specialties, the United Fruit launched more exercises in ‘regime change’ on the banana’s behalf than had even been carried out in the name of oil.

While the United Fruit Company saw the potential profits in growing Bananas in various countries in Central and South America, for the US Government under President Eisenhower who personally had stock in United Fruit, protecting the company opened the door for controlling railroads, shipping and ultimately the Central American governments. Guatemala President Arbenz was no match for America, he feared for his life and ultimately submitted his resignation. However, this did not satisfy the US government, which wished to make an example of Guatamala, the CIA pay off the Guatemalan military so they would let the Honduras militia win and after the victory, the leader of the Honduras militia, Castillo Armas, was appointed as president of Guatemala and Armas became puppet of the United States. Today, the banana is the world’s fourth major food, after rice, wheat and milk and it is just a poetic justice that this Republic has end of being 'a Banana Republic' a century later.

In light of history one example of which is the United Fruit Company, the US Capitalism protects its Corporations at any cost, remember there are only two actors; state and the corporations. Health Care Industry is a Corporation that the US Government will protect so don't wait for Universal Health. Obama Care, Trump Care, Joe Schmo Care, are all various ploys, they are NOT meant to profit YOU, YOU are not even part of the equation.

US, Russia and Syria

20 September 2016

I had often talk about US mission in Syria to be one of the 'regime change' from the get go. After nearly 4 years and in light of what has happened since ISIS was created through joint efforts of US, Saudi Arabia, Israel & Turkey, there is a little doubt in mind of anyone who has been following the events in Syria.

Furthermore, the events of the last few days and 'intentional' US led coordinated effort with Britain & Denmark to 'unintentionally" attack Syrian Army forces violated a ceasefire agreement previously reached between Russia & US.

While the US mission has always been clear to me, throughout the last 4 years I found myself questioning Russia's mission in Syria.

Case in point is Moscow's reaction toward the US attack on the Syrian troops in Deir Ezzor. In retrospect the extent of US attack on Syrian Army forces has been much bigger than it was initially admitted and Moscow itself acting numb and dumb about the actual details of the operation is very interesting to me.

Remember that the first account of what has happened came from a Syrian Military survivor who witnessed the US airstrikes first hand:

"- We first thought the aircraft are support to us after the first 2 shots, but we quickly found out that they are targeting our forces aggressively, while we were fighting IS terrorists. The aircraft used cluster bombs against us.

- A day before the airstrikes, the drones were flying and scanning all the area

- The US airstikes destroyed all our equipment and defense points.

- ISIS fighters attacked us immediately after and during the US strikes. Some of them were laughing

- US drones and helicopters opened fire from machine guns on our retreated forces

- It is for sure wasn't not a mistake, they targeted us intentionally to help ISIS.

- America is ISIS itself "

So my questions are what is Russia's objective in Syria, its involvement since September of 2015?

Why have Russia recalled its main military advisor to the Syrian government right at the beginning after the September 2013 crises?

Why hasn't Russia help her ally earlier at very beginning of ISIS take over?

Why have Russia never dealt with Turkey's overt support of ISIS?

Why is it that I see Russia's main objective in the past couple of years particularly is to make a deal with the US?

Why is it so important to Russia to somehow bring US some resemblance of "victory" before Obama leaves office?

Why would Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov would offer such asinine and moronic condition such as; "Terrorists should stop attacking, while the US should stop mistakenly striking Syrian army" for the ceasefire to resume?

Why does Russia keeps pretending, even at this junction in the game, that "terrorists" are different than "moderate oppositions"?

Or that America's engagement with 'moderate opposition' means America's engagement with & support of the 'terrorists/ISIS"?

Read more: https://sputniknews.com/politics/20160920/1045497291/syria-ceasefire-kremlin.html

And last but not least why Russia, all mighty Russia, with a geopolitical advantage & now with Turkey playing in its team has not been able to curb ISIS?

We pretty much know why mighty America were unable to curb ISIS? Why curb what one has created? Right?

There are unanswered questions on both side of the Syrian tragedy which is equally disturbing because nobody is questioning it?

Silencing America as It Prepares for War by JOHN PILGER

[Silencing America as It Prepares for War | by JOHN PILGER | http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/05/27/silencing-america-as-it-prepares-for-war/ ]

Not only John Pilger is brilliant, he has impeccable timing. This fantastic piece could not come at more apt time than the Memorial Day, the time of a year when blind patriotism is celebrated around the BBQ grills of America.

The time of a year when a mere mention of the US military adventures around the globe is considered un-American and un-patriotic.

The time of a year when 'sobriety' on any level is not sought alas Pilger delivers in this article the mother of all 'Patriot Missiles', THE TRUTH, he writes for those who don't give the TRUTH a day off for 'Memorial Day".

Now if the function of a "memorial' is to preserve memory/memories, then perhaps on this day we should remember all aspects of US wars, perhaps we should remember the tragic impacts of US wars not only on our own soldiers but the innocent victims in all the other countries which have been affected and impacted by US aggression.

Perhaps we should remember that while the US lost 7,000 of his own she caused as many as million death in Iraq and Afghanistan, a ratio of 1:143, most of whom innocent civilians.

Just a brief samples of what Pilger delivers in this article;

“We lost 58,000 young soldiers in Vietnam, and they died defending your freedom. Now don’t you forget it.” So said a National Parks Service guide as I filmed last week at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. He was addressing a school party of young teenagers in bright orange T-shirts. As if by rote, he inverted the truth about Vietnam into an unchallenged lie.

The millions of Vietnamese who died and were maimed and poisoned and dispossessed by the American invasion have no historical place in young minds, not to mention the estimated 60,000 veterans who took their own lives. A friend of mine, a marine who became a paraplegic in Vietnam, was often asked, “Which side did you fight on?”

A few years ago, I attended a popular exhibition called “The Price of Freedom” at the venerable Smithsonian Institution in Washington. The lines of ordinary people, mostly children shuffling through a Santa’s grotto of revisionism, were dispensed a variety of lies: the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved “a million lives”; Iraq was “liberated [by] air strikes of unprecedented precision”. The theme was unerringly heroic: only Americans pay the price of freedom.

The 2016 election campaign is remarkable not only for the rise of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders but also for the resilience of an enduring silence about a murderous self-bestowed divinity. A third of the members of the United Nations have felt Washington’s boot, overturning governments, subverting democracy, imposing blockades and boycotts. Most of the presidents responsible have been liberal – Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama.

The breathtaking record of perfidy is so mutated in the public mind, wrote the late Harold Pinter, that it “never happened …Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest. It didn’t matter … “. Pinter expressed a mock admiration for what he called “a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.”

Poll: Two-thirds of US would struggle to cover $1,000 crisis

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/two-thirds-us-struggle-cover-110221321.html ]
"Two-thirds of Americans would have difficulty coming up with the money to cover a $1,000 emergency, according to an exclusive poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research"
This is a kind of a poll that should be shared not whether a corrupt Hillary Clinton who gets paid quarter of million dollars for an hour speech to Goldman Sachs would be able to beat the loudmouth multi million dollar real estate tycoon whose companies hire 3 for price of 1 illegal aliens and speaks of building a wall.

Do we begin to understand what it means when 2/3 of Americans struggle in order to cover a $1000?

It means 2 out of 3 Americans (those with income, those without are already in crises) are $1000 away from living in the street. It means 2 out of every 3 Americans lives from paycheck to pay checks.

The the same 2 out of 3 Americans are wondering which of the multi-millionaire presidential candidates would be best choice to represent their interests or even understand them.

America you might think that you are 'exceptional' but you are 'exceptionally' not too bright.

America fear of terrorism should be last of your fears, those who are terrorizing you - at least economically - are being paid by your tax dollars to do it. Your enemies are not Muslim Fundamentalists from clear across the world in another continent, your enemies are in Washington DC, walking around in the Halls of the US Congress.

Your enemies are in Legislative Branch, in Executive Branch, in Judiciary Branch. You are exactly where you started over 250 years ago, serfs who have been taxed without representation.

Don't ask what you can do for your country, ask what your country has done for you, working like a dog/40 hrs a week and not being able to cover $1000 in case of emergency!

PLEASE EVERYONE SHARE THIS POST, SHARE MY RANT, MAY BE IT WOULD NUDGE AMERICA TO SOBRIETY.

The words of Jean-Jacques Rousseau; "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains'' from his dramatic opening lines to his immensely powerful treatise "The Social Contract" is aptly applicable as Americans who credit themselves for being 'free' are in chains everywhere one looks.

In this Wednesday, May 18, 2016, photo, Mitchell Timme works from his laptop computer at his home in Phoenix. Two-thirds of Americans would have difficulty coming up with the money to cover a $1,000 emergency, according to an exclusive poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. Timme said that his wages have remained basically flat for the last few years while his cost of living has increased. Once everything is paid “there’s nothing left to save,” he said. Seymour Hersh Says Hillary Approved Sending Libya's Sarin To Syrian Rebels

Seymour Hersh Says Hillary Approved Sending Libya's Sarin To Syrian Rebels

This is a very important article by Seymour Hersh an investigative journalist and recipient of a Pulitzer Prize award, five George Polk Awards, two National Magazine Awards, and more than a dozen other prizes for investigative reporting, whom in 2004 exposed the Abu Ghraib prison scandal in a series, had previously revealed, in a series of interviews & books, that the Obama Administration falsely blamed the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad for the Sarin gas attack as a justification to invade Syria, but now for the first time Hersh has directly implicated Hillary Clinton.

" "In April of 2013, Britain and France informed the United Nations that there was credible evidence that Syria used chemical weapons against rebel forces. Only two months later, in June of 2013, the United States concluded that the Syrian government did, in fact, use chemical weapons in its fight against opposition forces. President Obama immediately used this chemical attack as a pretext for invasion and authorized direct U.S. military support to the rebels, according to the White House.

Since the US has been funding these ‘moderate rebels’ more than 250,000 people have been killed, over 7,600,000 have been internally displaced, and 4,000,000 other human beings have been forced from the country entirely.

All of this death and destruction carried out by a sadistic army of rebels who’ve been funded and armed by the United States government, based on, what we are now told, was a complete fabrication.

World renowned journalist Seymour Hersh has revealed, in a series of interviews and books, that the Obama Administration falsely blamed the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad for the Sarin gas attack that Obama was trying to use as an excuse to invade Syria...."

I remember when these "events" were taking place, and I was following along as carefully as I could, based on what I was able to actually access from available media. And, I don't remember it like this at all. I DO remember that the neocons, particularly in the Senate, and especially John McCain and his little subcommittee on something, formulated some meaningless statement about the need to invade Syria, and browbeating the shit out of this president for NOT doing it. In other words, in his limited vision, arming them was better than putting US troops on the ground and/or bombing them ourselves. NONE would have been better, and he caved to the neocons, ESPECIALLY HILLARY, once again.

So, he's not excused, but I disbelieve that he was looking for a pretext to Invade Syria, and I think Hersch is not a good source on this perception. I know for a fact who was gung ho to invade Syria, and it wasn't this President. Further research would have contradicted that, including interviews and books from the high level cabinet members involved. (including Gates)

Otherwise, this seems to be a pretty good piece, except that I don't think anybody will ever have the real story on all of this stuff. Too much sabotage, backstabbing and other malfeasance going on to come up with an itemized "who said/did what to whom", and the culprits usually escape clean."

W.E.B. Du Bois

Susan Nevens | 11 April 2016

Before Martin Luther King, there was W.E.B. Du Bois who had a dream, when did their dream for the African Americans in this nation turned to a nightmare by considering Clintons the heir to these men?
